Santdeep Gill is currently the project lead at Hexagramm Design Pvt. Ltd. where she has worked on several prestigious art installations and design projects since her joining. She also leads the parametric design work in the studio mentored by Architect and Origami expert Ar Ankon Mitra.

She is the co-founder of Re:Hash Parametric, a learning platform for parametric design where she undertakes lectures, webinars and workshops in order to facilitate and develop the curiosity of fellow designers towards the algorithmic world of computational design. She did her bachelors of Architecture from Chandigarh college of Architecture.

She was involved in various workshops: Sculpture making workshop 2011, Lighting and Illumination Workshop 2012, ENSA Toulouse Student Program, Nasa convention Hyderabad 2014, Concrete Action 2014, WAF India Design Tour 2015, Concrete Action 2015, Joint Urban Design Studio with UBC Canada 2015, Parametric Design Thinking Workshop 2016. She worked part time for a year while also undertaking independent interior design projects. She later pursued Masters in computational design from CEPT university, Ahmedabad. There she undertook workshops in wood working, Glass and Textiles. She was also a part of an international workshop to New York about Resilient communities for resilient cities about architecture, landscape and planning strategies of resiliency projects in New York. She also served as a teaching Assistant for Decoding to Code Undergraduate Studio introducing generative design strategies to students of Architecture. She undertook a short course at the prestigious Parsons School of Design to explore architecture and interior design processes in New York City as a unique context for built environments.Being guided by Ar Ankon Mitra for her thesis was a pivotal step in defining her path as she later joined his studio. Since then, she has had the opportunity to work on various art and design projects for the studio. As a project lead and parametric designer at the firm, she has worked on ‘The song of the Earth and the Sky’- the landscape garden pavilion at the Sunder Nursery, ‘Our time in the Sun’ a playful sundial the reflecting our time in the sun and The Silk Swirl, a group of tissue silk chandeliers at Ekaya Benaras retail store at Mumbai amongst others. Her interest in design was initiate at a relative’s house she visited when she was 12. A full length window with white sheer curtains was framed with peach satin curtains with valances and frills, a soft white carpet and a pair of Club chairs upholstered with a floral print white fabric, all put together with a white distressed wood circular console with a pendent light glowing above. The console had a wooden carved photo frame, a set of silver candles and a glass vase with white lilies. Unable to get that imagery out of her head, she decided to pursue architecture to find an outlet to express herself. Her experience of working on custom installations with Create Architects grew her fascination for the entire process from the conceptualising, designing, detailing and fabrication and the curiosity and keenness to delve into the subject lead to a masters’ degree in computational design from CEPT university. This was an important contributor to her logical and decisive thinking and her skillset. She strives to achieve order and logic within chaos.

She is an avid reader and a quiet observer which amplifies her empathy to peoples journeys and their stories. This empathy forms the core of her design thinking. Design is a complex amalgamation of form, function and emotion and she is driven by the intent to merge this with parametric into a seamless symphony.
