Co-Founder of Make That Space, Brinda Kenia completed her Bachelors in Architecture (B.Arch) from Balwant Sheth School of Architecture, NMIMS Mumbai. Having accompanied her mother, Shilpa Kenia to various sites when she was young, Brinda had decided early on that she wants to be in the design space.
Before starting her own practice with her mother, Brinda worked at Jan Merkaba, Colombo, Sri Lanka, at Patch Design Studio, Mumbai and at Rajiv Saini & Associates, Mumbai. Her studio has completed 17 projects in the last two years. Brinda lives and operates her office out of two cities; Mumbai and Pune. She believes in creating spaces with an approach that enables maximum utility, a balanced aesthetic and being environmentally conscious. She does this by enabling adaptive use of space. Often a space can be utilized and transformed to serve more than just one function.
She is always in search of new ways to work with space, light and materials; to incorporate them and create a new, unique and functional space. She believes a home should be a reflection of who you currently are, yet versatile enough to grow with you
