StoryStudio is a young design practice based out of Bangalore, established in 2017 by Shikha Gupta and Kristel Sequeira. Collectively, they have over 12 years of experience and expertise primarily in the hospitality, F&B and retail segments. Together they have taken up projects that challenge their capacities as designers and allow them to re-imagine the wheel constantly.
Their work is boutique - Each project brings with it something new, something they have never done before - a true collaboration between the designer, contractor and the craftsman. This year, their project Bagh won Gold at the VMRD Retail Design Awards in the Indian Apparel Category. They have also be published in various interior design magazines such as Architectural Digest (India and Germany), Better Interiors and VMRD. In 2019, StoryStudio was also listed in LiveMint as one of ‘Five Emerging Indie Design Brands to watch out for’.
Shikha is an architect with over a decade of experience in spatial design. She honed her design abilities and skills as a designer working on large and small scale projects early in her career. She also attended Glenn Murcutt Masterclass 2012 in Australia, one of the most prestigious resident workshop that brings 30 architects from all over the world together for a great learning experience. Her core expertise lies in project detailing, innovating techniques and crafting solutions. She has also served as a visiting faculty and juror to architecture colleges.
