Prerna Kaleru, an Alumni of IIT Roorkee, founded Studio Ardete in 2010 with the belief that every problem has the capacity to inspire unique and creative solutions that motivate growth. Her vision is to design spaces that would evolve into art, enriching the lives of people inhabiting them.
With a passion for creating something distinctive and a taste for experimentation, she has completed various projects in India and abroad. Having designed in parts of Asia and Europe, including Japan, Italy and France, she believes in a wider, more analytical approach. She uses modern construction and building methods to come up with designs that are at par with the most accomplished practices in the world. Incorporating new techniques like parametric modeling and customized design elements, unique to each project, striving to use materials available on site makes her projects sustainable. Working on projects ranging from architecture to interiors has always motivated her to transform what is regular and conventional and flirt with the boundaries of art in architecture. In the urban and economic scenario today, that dictates most of the construction and architectural practices, she attempts to erase the divide between practicality and innovation.
