Sushma Sawant, an architect passed out in 2005 from Pune University. She started her professional career with “Se-Arch Architect’s”, Pune, where she had worked on the apartment scheme and a residence. After that she was appointed as Landscape architect in “Sahara Aamby valley city”, Lonavala, where she had worked on the villa, chalets, common gardens, international School Aamby landscape designs. The experience of working here brought her closer to the nature landscape and also improved the understanding of importance of working drawings and details. In 2009, She joined “Abhikram” Ahmedabad, as an architect, where she got an opportunity to work under the Guidance of Nimeshbhai and Parulben.
She had worked on a resort, office building and private residence. The experience was again very different as the approach of design was more towards on the sustainable designs, use of local materials, passive cooling and using Indian crafts so the craftsmen’s gets the work. Again the importance of working drawings, details and discipline in each and every work whether it is small or big. In 2011, She had joined Hiren Patel Architect’s, Ahmedabad as a Landscape architect, wherein she worked on apartment schemes, private residences, Farm House, party plots and restaurant. Here she got the full freedom on the design part as well as she could see my designs from papers to the actual site.
Right now she is working with R+R Architects, ahmedabad as a Landscape architect. So the 15 years of experience in various projects helped her to achieve the philosophy of “Giving back to the Nature” She is trying to create an environment where they can use fewer resources and increase the green cover through her designs.
