Subtle use of rich Materials to Create a Luxurious Entrance

This is the entry passage of a residence in South Mumbai. Since the passage is long and narrow, a full length mirror is used effectively to widen up the space at the main door.

This is the entry passage of a residence in South Mumbai. Since the passage is long and narrow, a full length mirror is used effectively to widen up the space at the main door.

According to the architect, “We have introduced a palette of rich materials used subtly to convey a sense of contemporary luxury like semi precious stone finished handle panel on the main door.”

Four silver leaved jali panels at the entrance lobby add to the ambience with one shutter concealing the electrical main switch and utilities. A semi precious onyx panel is used to create a lit up entrance seat. A central pendant light with crystal highlights along with cove lighting light up his space. Footlights along the passage wall lead one into the living space.
