Mitesh Antala, the Principal Designer at RUST- the design studio, Interior Designer Firms in Rajkot, established his studio in 2015. He had a clear vision and mission to “develop interior and architectural experiences that are not only distinctive and compelling but also environment-friendly”.

With a desire to discover himself as an artist and a thirst to mature his design ideas and goals, he travelled around the world. The studio gets its name Rust, as it symbolizes recycled materials and rustic styles, something which is very close to Mitesh’s heart. During his trails to different cities and towns, he observed many textured walls, doors and various elements with rust and worn out surfaces.

Reusing old materials and objects, not only his designs are eco-friendly but also easy on the wallet. Materials used to create “Rust” were Veneer, Cement Sheets, Kota Stone, Sleeper Wood, Vintage tiles, Cotton rope, Natural jute, Rusty metals.

Rust is not just something old, something with a mark. It is surely old and has its distinct appearance, and along with that Rust is something that stores the essence of time, gathering all the knowledge and wisdom through time. Rust is natural. It is a story of coexistence of two very poles-apart phases- new and bold. There is something unique and extraordinary to rust which has captured the artist’s attention. He is absorbed in it and inspired to show this natural beauty to everyone.
