Ar. Manishi & Apoorv say, “Keeping the product in mind which is reflective glass bottles with colored liquor inside, a conscious decision of giving an earthy and monochromatic look to the store was taken. Niches in two different sizes have been created to segregate the display as per types of liquor. Ceiling and primary display niches have been finished in E-board.
These niches have further been framed in tapering brown mirror to visually increase overall volume of the store. Exposed brick wall has been used behind wine display to draw a parallel with actual wine making process. As a cost-effective solution to accent light features, chandeliers were designed in router-cut E board.
Reception backdrop has been made in hardwood slats in varying sizes and depths, further cut at random height to allow display of premium brands. To compliment an otherwise neutral ceiling, red tinted glass panels are suspended from the slab in random style. Owing to the height, these panels manage to register themselves in the subconscious of the buyer rather than being in-the-face.
Cash desk is made as a wine barrel, again, to relate the experience of the buyer to being in an actual cellar where wine is stored in barrels.”
