L&T, HPL, Polycab, RR Kabel, Schneider, and Others Launch New Series of Modular Switches at Elecrama

Elecrama 2020 served as a perfect platform for the majors in the Indian electrical and lighting industry to showcase their innovation and new offerings. The likes of L&T Electrical & Automation, Ploycab, HPL, Schneider, R R Kabel, C&S Electric, Siemens, etc, were the leading players to showcase a host of modular switches and smart home technology.

As for modular switches, it is gaining traction over the traditional switches in terms of design, ease of installation, operational efficiency, and appearance. Besides, these customisable and high-capacity switches are equipped with advanced technologies such as Internet connectivity, USB sockets, and childproof shutters, among others. For a price sensitive market like India, an added advantage of modular switches is that they are available at affordable prices.

Electric Switch Board & Switches

At Elecrama 2020, L&T showcased its Oris, Entice and Englaze (their latest offering) range of modular switches; HPL displayed their smART and elmo range of modular switches; C&S Electric had Primo Plus, Combi and Divino range on display; Schneider showcased its offerings in the form of AvatarOn, Neo, Ulti, Livia, Unica Pure, Opale, etc; and Polycab displayed its Acacia, Crystal, Valencia, Evina, and Kidz range of modular switches. For the likes of L&T, the meticulously crafted  range comprised of front switch plates made of   natural wood, glass and  metal finish besides offering contemporary colour plates with option of grey and white switches. HPL too had wooden, glass and metal switch plates aesthetically designed to complement the décor trends of contemporary residential and commercial spaces.

Talking about the specialities of the product range, the niche range, for instance L&T's Englaze, have super thin plates and carefully crafted switches that have been designed to look flat from every angle. Two module plates, designed and introduced to add glamour to walls, with sleek and chic style are in demand. The smart connectors, safety shutters, indicative regulators, silver safety and indicative illumination are the new features that have been introduced by leading players including L&T, HPL, Polycab, etc. The switching operations too have been increased, for some product range it is as high as 4.5 lakh. Besides safety, aesthetics and design, companies are also focusing on flexibility and convenience. Captive screws & tunnel terminals, dual side wire entry, front installation and removal system, universal mounting, maximum overhang on all sides, provision for mounting on furniture, etc have been worked upon so as to make fitting a hassle free experience.
