In a west end flat in Glasgow, Designer Clare Morton has completed a kitchen renovation project with an eye-catching solid surface of emerald colour worktop. The project brief was to modernise an old kitchen into a more usable space but with a bit of bling.
The bright emerald worktop helped to overcome the existing awkward spaces and combined with more traditional units gave the kitchen the best of both worlds. The kitchen was upgraded with three individual, custom-made workstations.

The designer chose the Dixon range from KitCaboose Kitchens, which was then made by Three Four Five Furniture.
It offers a contemporary, versatile design with added details such as peg organiser drawers and end panel pegboards. Birch plywood units were contrasted with the Emerald Solid Surface worktop creating a beautifully unique kitchen.
The designer chose HI-MACS® for its unique use in the kitchen as it is hard working and very easy to maintain with just a damp cloth and mild detergent.

Moreover, the visually seamless joins mean there is nowhere for germs and dirt to lurk, and the colour palette ensures there is something for everyone.
