Surfaces Reporter (SR) takes much joy to announce that Ply Reporter is going to hold a E-Conclave On 'FACE VENEER’ powered by Gabon SEZ SA on 30th August, 2020.
Gabon Special Economic Zone SA (GSEZ) is the Administrating and Managing Agency for Nkok SEZ. GSEZ is a successful Public Private Partnership project between Olam International Ltd (Singapore), the Gabonese Republic and Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), the outcome of a shared vision to effectively master the transition toward industrialisation of Gabon.
The substance in limelight, Face Veneer is basically a Wood veneer selected for its decorative qualities rather than its strength. Face Veneer is an important part of plywood manufacturing.
Putting face on ply is not just colour but also directly related to mechanical and physical properties hence there was recommended thickness need to be in 0.5 mm to 0.8 mm for making standard quality plywood. Using face of genuine thickness certainly helps to hide the impression of resin on surface of plywood that creates smooth surfaces and better looks. Secondly, it pastes along with cross section of Core Veneer, hence it improves the mechanical properties of plywood which is related to the durability of finished products.
Gabon SEZ currently has 165 customers from 17 countries. 72 industrial units are already in production and 33 more units are under construction. The industries making SEZ as manufacturing base are mainly the industries into timber processing because timber is available in abundance in Gabon.
