Gunjan is an architect with a Masters degree from Clemson University, USA in City & Regional Planning.
From designing at the macro level, her keen eye for detailing has transcended her practice to designing interiors at a micro level. Though her forte lies in Residential design, she has had an opportunity to design interiors for various multi disciplinary projects.
Her mature understanding and appreciation of design and aesthetics coupled with a very practical and utilitarian approach to client requirements is the key to the success of her projects. She has always been interested in teaching and has done short stints at Ramaiah & Jain College, has been part of many juries and has also conducted workshops for Asian paints all over the country.
For the last few years she has been very actively involved with IIID, Bangalore Chapter, she served as the Hon. Treasurer (2017-19) and is currently the Hon. Secretary for the same. As part of this, she is involved with student projects in various colleges, is on the Board of Studies committee for Mount Carmel College, works for SWAP (Social warehouse project), and helps in organizing events and works for the Antarya magazine. Gunjan completed her B.Arch in 1991 from BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore and went on to do her Masters Program in City and Regional Planning from Clemson University, graduating in 1994. She is a member of COA, IIA and IIID.
Their projects have been featured in many a magazine, newspaper articles and also in ‘50 most beautiful homes’. Their own office interiors were shortlisted for the WADe Asia (Women in Architecture and Design) award in 2018. In these trying times she has also participated in a variety of webinars on topics ranging from Kitchen design, Home offices and Residential design. She has also moderated webinars with reputed architects. She shares a practice, N.G. Associates with her Architect husband Niranjan Das. N.G Associates is a firm of professional consultants and designers who provide a full range of consulting services including Architecture, Urban Design/Master Planning and Site Development and Interior Design.
