A kid’s room in an estate

A kid’s room in an estate holds so much importance nowadays. The overall growth of a child somehow depends on what space he is growing in. Apart from their structural growth, mental growth is also important so, adding a little bit of geometry, science or colors in a kid’s room is never a bad idea. Surfaces Reporter(SR) has these 10 amazing ideas for a kids room design that will help your child grow both mentally and structurally and learn new things everyday within the space.

Make it thematic

Some kids love avengers or science, space, fictional characters. Decorating their room based on their favourite character will help them grow in a better way. Firstly, they will love the idea of having their favourite character and secondly, they will learn good values from whatever the theme of the room is based at.

Add study table

Study table is of utmost importance nowadays. A child needs a separate area to concentrate and focus on subjects. Adding a study table will add a niche into the room and your child will not have to use a common area in the home when it comes to education.

Add play area

You can add a separate indoor play area within the kid’s room. You can add a small tent with stuff toys, cars, lights, or maybe decorate it with different themes for overall growth of your child.

Choose more calm and soothing colors

Bold, aggressive colors are better suited for living room space. For a kid’s room, calm and soothing colors must be chosen. Colors like light blue, orange, pink, light grey, light green works best in a kid’s room.

Avoid door locks

Make sure to never add a door lock in the kid’s room. If you end up having a door lock for your child’s room, make sure to have a separate key that opens the room from outside. Kids tent to lock themselves indoors while playing sometimes which may give you a hard time.

Add mosaics on wall or décor

Adding a play of colors in mosaic is a must in a kids room. Try making different mosaic patterns or you can add mosaic or tile games as well.

A play of alphabets and numbers

A child in his early ages needs overall understanding of numbers, alphabets, words. To make sure that optimum knowledge is being provided to your child, you can add a white board with magnet letters or words where your child can play as well as learn new things every day.

Add greenery

To make sure that the environment in the kids room is calm and peaceful, you should add plants. These will keep the air fresh and add a lux to the whole décor.

Double storey bed

For a double sharing kid’s room, you can add a double storey bed where both your kids can share the room with minimum space. One child can sleep on the bed below while the other can climb up the small stairs and sleep on the bed above. This double storey bed can also add up to be a play area.

Add knowledgeable stuff

A parent always guides its child towards the right direct. To make sure your child understands the world in a better way, you can hang a world map on the wall or you can hang a solar system theme on the ceiling with neon starts. There are many variations possible with wall hangings such as cars, bikes, world leaders, elements of nature and what not.
