Thom Mayne, while accepting his Pritzker Prize, had been quoted saying, “Architecture is a way of seeing, thinking and questioning our world and our place in it.” Whereas architecture has always already existed in some form or the other since the inception of mankind, the definitions have varied. There is no one singular definition – there are as many definitions of architecture as there are architects. Architecture, then, is a very personal and intimate affair of the architect which is subsequently collective and universal – for it is the process of creating structures, from the finest interiors to the cities of the future. It gives direction to the ways in which human civilization moves forward. One such architect who has successfully amalgamated the classic beauty of structures and the contemporary in
