Brigade Group, the renowned Bengaluru-based real estate giant, has unveiled its groundbreaking plans to transform Chennai's skyline. With a colossal undertaking of developing 15 million square feet of real estate by FY27, Brigade Group aims to redefine the city's urban landscape. With a predominant focus on residential spaces, accounting for over 80% of the launches, this ambitious project signifies a residential revolution in Chennai.
Pradyumna Krishnakumar, Executive Director of Brigade Group, has revealed that the company is ready to introduce 4 million square feet of residential space and 1 million square feet of commercial space in Chennai within the next two years. This expansion is part of a larger launch pipeline encompassing 15 million square feet.
The announcement of this venture took place at the prestigious Global Investors Meet 2024 in Chennai, emphasizing the magnitude of the project. With an investment of Rs 3,400 crore, Brigade Group has already committed 25% of the funds, with the remaining amount to be released gradually.
Looking towards the future, Krishnakumar shared that approximately 30% of the upcoming projects in the pipeline over the next 3-4 financial years will be dedicated to Chennai. Notably, one of the most highly anticipated projects is a mixed development venture at Mount Road, requiring an investment of Rs 1,000 crore.
At the heart of this transformation lies the Twin Towers project, featuring two impressive towers. One tower will primarily house residential units, while the other will accommodate offices alongside smaller retail spaces. These towers are set to become prominent landmarks in Chennai, with apartment prices starting from Rs 3 crore. The final stages of approval for the project are currently in progress.
