Red Agra Stone Adorned Edifice| Designplus Architecture(DPA)

The facade of Thapar University embodies a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. Crafted from tall red Agra stone volumes with intricate white marble detailing, it pays homage to the timeless elegance of Indian architecture. Evoking the spirit of nature, geometric forms reminiscent of natural landscapes rise to create a visual spectacle. Traditional jaali screens, rendered in louvered stone, mediate the facades, allowing a delicate interplay of light and shadow.

This design not only reflects a sense of place but also addresses sustainability concerns in the monsoon climate. Through simplicity in construction and utilisation of local labor and materials, the facade integrates seamlessly with its environment, while innovative cooling mechanisms and shaded areas mitigate solar gain. The facade is not just a visual statement but a testament to thoughtful design and environmental stewardship.
