Parametric Facade with Handmade Bricks | Language.Architecture.Body

The‘House of Hundred Thousand bricks’ showcases a sculptural facade made of handmade bricks that dynamically interact with the sun’s path, casting changing shadows throughout the year.

It integrates spaces for plant growth, water features, sheltered windows, and softened edges. Guided by Swaran Sharmaji from Devsons, skilled brick masons meticulously crafted the home, shaping each brick by hand based on a wire mesh model.

Parametric design tools were used to script the position of the bricks, with each brick course meticulously drawn, coded, and labeled.
