The wait is finally over. SURFACES REPORTER (SR) the most loved magazine of architecture, design and material, is back with Talk of Town, one of the most coveted events of the Indian industry. With the distinguished names of the architecture and design fraternity of Kolkata, SR has organised Talk of Town Kolkata in association with Amulya Mica. The event is scheduled for November 13, 2021 at Hyatt Regency in Kolkata from 6 PM onwards.

JP Agrawal
Architect JP Agrawal, a goldmedalist of MS University, Baroda in the year 1986, started his professional practice in 1988 under the banner “Agrawal & Agrawal”. In last 35 years, the firm has completed more than 800 projects across 12 states of India. The firm is awarded “Green Champion’s Award” for designing the highest green floor space in the country by “Indian Green Building Council”.
Anjan Gupta
Anjan Gupta received his Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) degree from Bengal Engineering College, in 1981, Master of City Planning (MCP) degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 1983, and Master of Architecture (M.Arch) from Iowa State University, Ames, USA in 1985. After working with a lot of firms overseas and many prestigious projects, he returned to India and in 1992 and set up Anjan Gupta Architects. The practices' portfolio includes projects ranging from Health Care and Hospitality to Research Laboratories, Auditoria design, Institutional, Foreign Consulates, Recreational, Educational and Residential architecture. He has been rendering honorary architectural services in various projects at Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre & Research Institute, Thakurpukur, Kolkata since 1992.
Sunil Maniramka
Ar Sunil Maniramka is the principal architect of Maniramka & Associates, one of the leading architectural firms in Kolkata. He has over 28 years of experience in the industry and is presently the Vice Chairman of Indian Institute of Architects, West Bengal Chapter.Maniramka & Associates has completed more than 550 projects in and around Kolkata apart from 15 towns and cities in India.
Monica Khosla Bhargava
Monica Khosla Bhargava is an architect, urban designer, interior designer, author, theoretician, vlogger, floral artist, certified floral National Judge, and National Speaker. She founded her design practice Kham Consultants in 1992 and the firm has been felicitated with several awards, both national and international. Her projects expressing her spatial, cultural and environmental ethos have been featured extensively.
Rupande Shah
Rupande Shah is the principal of an award-winning architect and interior designer and founder of boutique design firm. An alumni of Academy of Architecture, Mumbai and Pratt Institute, New York from where she did her masters, she set up her company around 30 years ago and has been working on several projects in the residential, corporate, educational and medical sector. She currently has an impressive 1000(plus) designs and architectural projects under her belt. Rupande is visiting design faculty at Kolkata’s Jadavpur University and is active in the ‘Calcutta Heritage Collective’ which focuses on restoring and reusing old architectural marvels.
Bipratip Dhar
Founder & Principal architect of Epsilon, Bipratip Dhar graduated from Sir JJ College of Architecture, Mumbai in 1996. With over almost 25 years of architectural and interior designing experience, he has worked on a range of different building types including residential, commercial, retail, corporate and hospitality projects. He is committed to quality design with strong emphasis on sustainability.
Anirban Bhaduri
AR. ANIRBAN BHADURI- Founding Partner, Innate is a gold medalist from I.I.E.S.T. Anirban defines architecture as the art and science of making sure our buildings fit with the way we want to live our lives. With innate, he has been a recipient of many architecture and design awards.
Amber Chandgothia
Amber Chandgothia is a1992 batch architect from University of Roorkee, now IIT Roorkee and studied Masters in Urban Design from Jadavpur University. He has started our career with primarily interior design projects and eventually expanded into architecture and project management consultancy. We have worked on several residential, commercial, educational and hospitality projects in Kolkata and other cities of Eastern India.
Ayan Sen
Ayan Sen, a graduate from the School of Architecture, CEPT, Ahmedabad (1997) , post his professional training, worked with cutting edge Indian practices at Ahmedabad and New Delhi and in urban design and architecture firms in Washington DC and Pittsburgh, USA, where he managed large scale architectural and master planning projects. Later on, he set up Ayan Sen Architects Urban Designers & Planners (ASAUDP) in 2005 with the thought of providing collaborative, creative and international professional systems in the growing architectural environs of emerging India.
Kalyan Chakraborty
Kalyan Chakraborty did his Masters in Ecological and Sustainable design, Kansas State University, Manhattan. He has been working as a Partner and Principal Architect with Polaris, Kolkata for 11 years where he conceived the design, prepared required drawings, coordinated with other consultants and supervised project execution, in several projects including Star Theatre, Bhagat Singh Bhawan, Rabindra Tirtha, Raikva commercial complex, Hotel Prateek, Solace club & resort, Sunshine city, Krish biotech Laboratory, KPC medical college facade etc.
Pooja Bihani
Pooja Bihani, a gold medallist from S.P.S.M.B.H’s College of Architecture, Kolhapur had started her career as a designer with Mr. Sunil Tainwala of Aarteg in the year 2000. With a passion in architecture and interior designing, she laid the foundation of Spaces & Design in 2006 in Kolkata. The firm has established itself as a successful Interior and Architecture firm with the capability to execute complete end-to-end turnkey interior projects as well as Architecture.
Aditya Goswami
Aditya Goswami, founded , Architectonic Services to create a laboratory of spatial thinking where one can experiment with design. Research plays an important part of their work as they see built spaces as opportunities to experiment with technology and aesthetics. Team Architectonic have been acclaimed and awarded since last two decades.

Shailja Agarwal
Shailja Agarwal, Director-Marketing, AMULYA MICA. She joined the company almost 1.5 years back. After becoming a post graduate from SP Jain school of global management, she started a successful gifting portal by the name the ‘house of sasha’. Post that she joined her family business wherein she has already launched 2 design folders during the COVID-19 period on online platforms and a one-of-kind printed catelogue. She is also behind adding innovative Edge Band in the Amulya catelogue.
Vertica Dvivedi
Vertica Dvivedi is an entrepreneur, leader, influencer, community builder, and speaker. A story of her entrepreneurial struggle was published in "Chicken Soup for the Indian Soul at Work" written by Jack Canfield for Westland publishing. She is the Editor-in-chief of SURFACES REPORTER magazine which is a decade old news & information portal for architects, interior designers, builders and building materials. She is also the founder of WADE ASIA, one of the largest platforms for women in design.
