Sri-Lanka-based designer Thilina Liyanage, who is known worldwide for his unique and expressive architectural visualizations, has recently envisioned a lotus-flower-shaped bamboo retreat villas that are made from interwoven bamboo. The designer modelled four bamboo structures in the green thicket. All of these structures are topped by lotus-flower-shaped homes and sit atop curved bamboo pillars.

Common Outdoor Area

Each cabin gets a common outdoor area where inhabitants can sit and relax, right below its mounted lotus-shaped living room.

The upper deck is lined with wooden panels for its flooring, which complement the rest of the bamboo volume. The outdoor area is adorned with rattan furniture and petal ceiling fans.
