Burberry has created a number of pop-up shops for its outerwear collection called- The Imagined Landscapes.
Rippling Building Envelope
Nestled at the foot of the Halla mountains on Jeju Island, the latest store has a mirrored envelope showcasing the sky above, green countryside, and the rolling mountains.
"Its shape and reflective surfaces seamlessly merge with the beautiful natural surroundings, sitting at the foot of the majestic Halla mountain," said the brand.
"Mountainous terrain is reinterpreted with modernity, as this imaginative structure is sculpted by architectural contour lines inspired by maps."
An Immersive Experience
Once the visitors enter the space, they can experience the immersiveness of the space where the brand's wonderful range is displayed. Upon entry, the buyers can see the fashion house’s outerwear campaign and depicts the work of three digital artists: Cao Yuxi, Maotik and Jiayu Liu.
While the second room features an outstanding array of seasonal coats and jackets, hooded puffer jackets, and trench coats.
The last room is covered by screens showcasing interactive films about the outdoors by the three artists. Infinite landscapes by Maotik tracks the movements of visitors entering the store, using their behaviour to inform the computer-generated landscapes.
In the final room, shoppers are surrounded by screens showing interactive films about the outdoors by the three artists. Maotik's film Infinite Landscapes tracks the audience's movements, using their behaviour to inform the computer-generated imagery projected onto a transparent glass screen.
An external staircase that cuts through the building carries the people to a viewing deck sited at the top of The Imagined Landscapes building. This platform offers breathtaking views of the Sanbang Mountain and the surrounding green landscape.

A Cafe Nearby With Matching Mirrored Surfaces
In an adjacent building, Thomas Cafe by Burberry features the same mirrored surface. The cafe allows visitors to enjoy local pastries. It also follows a similar beige colour palette synonymous with the Fashion brand. It contains mirror-surfaced chairs and tables for the patrons to sit on.
Burberry has several other stores that allow shoppers to check and experience its products in innovative ways. One of their stores in London has a robot by artist Graham Hudson that looks to create 3D sculptures from inside a framed structure. Further, their flagship store in Shenzhen allows customers to use an app to interact with the window display and play their own music in the dressing rooms.
