Netaji’s statue will be carved using black jade granite that will be sourced from Telangana. The statue will be positioned under the grand canopy, where a statue of imperial monarch King George V was placed till 1968.
Further, the sculptor will team up with granite artisans of Karnataka for the creation. The Ministry of Culture has selected around 25-30 sculptors to create the statue. The statue is expected to be completed within the next eight months and installed at India Gate on August 15 this year marking the 75th Independence Day.
Adwaita Gadanayak was born and brought up in the Neulapoi village of Dhenkanal district, where he pursued art education from BK College of Arts and Crafts. He completed his master's degree from the College of Art in New Delhi. One of his finest works - Dandi March is installed at Rajghat, New Delhi.

An invisible, high gain, 90 percent transparent holographic screen will be erected in such a way that is not visible to the people. The 3D image of Netaji will be projected on this screen to create the effect of a hologram.
Visitors can walk around it and the 3D image would look like a real-life object.
The hologram statue of Netaji will be powered by a 4K projector that has the power to deliver brightness levels of 30,000 lumens. The idea behind making this hologram is to simply project an image in a way that would appear real and visible from all sides.
