Show Apartments are usually designed with maximum opulence in order to portray the maximum design potential a space holds. This makes them very special for any designer as he could showcase his maximum creativity without any fuss. This particular project is an opulent show flat designed by KNS Architects in Bandra, Mumbai. Here are some salient details shared by the designer with SURFACES REPORTER.
The opulent use of statement lighting
A modern luxurious apartment, 81 Aureate is a revelation in elegant and sophisticated interior design. Through the use of contemporary statement lighting paired with abstract artwork– a distinct pairing of splendour and comfort is created for the interiors.
Textured walls with a subtle colour palette combined with prominent use of wooden textures and bespoke furniture pieces like settee and console tables add to the charm of the space.
Design Idea
Built over an area of 4000 sqft, the apartment consists of four master bedrooms including the parent’s room and kid’s room. As one enters, there is a foyer that leads into the living and dining area with bedrooms on the other end.
The kitchen area connects to the dining space flowing into the expansive living room. The house also consists of a plunge pool on the outdoor deck with access from the living area, offering stellar views of the skyline.
A contrast between Blue and shades of wood
A distinctive feature of the design is the visual contrast created between deep blue furnishings and the all-pervasive wooden elements used within the space.
Bespoke pendant lights, sculptural decor accents and rugs that complement the decor theme also add character to the interiors. Clean lines, geometric shapes and expansive spatial design form the highlights of this apartment.
