Nishant Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Gurugram, joined NHAI and GMDA personnel to examine work on the Expressway.

The Expressway will feature 76 access-controlled lanes and a three-lane service road to ensure seamless traffic movement. It will be the first elevated urban expressway in the nation.

DC Yadav remarked that the inauguration of this expressway would be a significant achievement in the road infrastructure in both Gurugram and NCR.

Nirman K Jambhulkar, the Project Director of NHAl estimated that the cost of the project will be around Rs 9,000 crore.

The expressway has been divided into four sections, with 70.07 km allotted to two regions in Delhi and 78.9 km designated to two locations in Haryana. Both of these areas are expected to be available for use by July, with work estimated to reach a completion rate of 99 percent. Meanwhile, construction efforts have been ongoing in Delhi's portion of the plan.

He announced that the region will be completed by 2024.

NHAI officials indicated that an incredible two lakh metric tonnes of steel were utilized in the building of the Expressway, an amount that exceeds the amount used for constructing the iconic Eiffel Tower by a factor of 30.

Similarly, 20 lakh cubic meters of concrete have been used in building the structure - six times more than that of Burj Khalifa. To add to this, 12,000 trees were moved during the building process - a first for India, given the sheer size of it.

By 2023, the opening of the Dwarka Expressway should drastically reduce travel time for commuters between Gurgaon and Delhi, according to Pankaj Bansal, Director of M3M India.

Latest technologies such as ITS, ATMS, Toll Management Systems, CCTV cameras, and surveillance will be put to use to ensure passengers' safety as well as the smooth flow of traffic on this expressway.

The imminent debut of the Dwarka Expressway in 2023 is setting a buzz in NCR's real estate sector. Pradeep Aggarwal, Founder & Chairman of Signature Global remarked that there has been a surge in realty ventures in the area due to its unparalleled connectivity and superior infrastructure.
