On the occasion of Nuit Blanche 2023, Plastique Fantastique's RINGdeLUXE enveloped the Leopold-Sedar-Senghor footbridge in Paris. This remarkable visual and mechanical tour de force, created by the artistic duo, catches the eye with its light and reflective structure. It serves as both a connection and a divide, aimed at transforming how individuals view their surroundings and generating multi-sensory responses. In doing so, it grants fresh perspectives on urban life - inspiring all who experience it with a heightened awareness of space.

A Deeper Look at RINGdeLUXE's Creativity
The Plastique Fantastique artist duo, Marco Canevacci and Yena Young, have created RINGdeLUXE to symbolically connect the two sides of Paris while also emphasising the strong bond between city, river and inhabitants.
As the day turns to night, this installation stirs to life - personifying Parisian allegories and fusing them with divine entities of darkness.
What’s so Special About Them
Drawing from their expertise in art and architecture, Plastique Fantastique have developed a special appreciation for temporary spaces. This informs their stunning creations which are imbued with kinetic energy, allowing them to convey movement and fluidity. Since their establishment in Berlin in 1999, the creative team has successfully been combining the solidity of architecture with the impermanent nature of air through immersive installations.
Structured to manipulate our perception of public space while providing stimulating multi-sensory experiences, they remain true to their ethos by using lightweight construction so as to energize the cityscape around them and bring forth the hidden elements of the urban environment.
