Noida 2, a carrier-neutral facility, is linked with NTT's current data centers, ensuring minimal latency and smooth access to top public cloud providers for clients. Doug Adams, CEO and President of NTT Global Data Centers & Submarine Cable, highlighted India's significance in their global expansion.
Shekhar Sharma, CEO & MD of NTT GDC India & NTT Com India Network Services, sees the Noida campus launch as a milestone, providing clients in North India with access to reliable data center services on the interconnected campus.
First Data Center Goes Live
The first data center within the Noida 2 campus, delivered on the same day, supports a 22.4 MW IT load, spanning an area of 300,000 sq. ft. (approx. 28,000m2). Notably, this marks the first data center campus in India to incorporate seismic dampers, ensuring uninterrupted operations during significant seismic events.
More Than 268 MW Across Key Cities
The introduction of Noida 2 has led to an expansion of NTT's Global Data Centers division in India, reaching a capacity of over 268 MW across 18 data centers located in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, and Bengaluru. This expansion includes the recently operational Mumbai 9 data center situated at its flagship Central Mumbai (Chandivali) campus. The interconnected campuses, totaling over 3.1 million sq. ft. (approx. 290,000 m2), offer clients the flexibility to address immediate infrastructure requirements and scale for future growth, all supported by NTT's comprehensive managed services portfolio.
