Delhi is set to become home to the largest hotel space in India within the next three years, following an agreement signed in November 2021 between the American hospitality giant, Marriott International, and DB Realty and Prestige Group. As part of this collaboration, two hotels are slated for completion by the end of December 2025, contributing a total of 779 rooms to the Marriott International portfolio. Positioned in close proximity to the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), Hotel Marriott Marquis and St. Regis Aerocity will redefine the hospitality landscape.
The contemporary and traveler-centric Hotel Marriott Marquis, boasting 590 rooms, will feature three dining rooms and a vibrant 'Greatroom' Lobby, designed to serve as a social hub within the hotel.
On the other hand, St. Regis Aerocity, with its 189 luxury rooms and suites, will pay homage to the flagship hotel of Marriott International, St. Regis New York, with the theme 'New York Delhi.'
In a significant development, DB Hospitality, a brand under DB Realty, is concurrently developing a convention center spanning approximately 7.7 acres of land. This groundbreaking project, with 1000 rooms, is poised to become India's first Marriott Marquis and Convention Center, according to Irfan Razak, Chairman and Managing Director of Prestige Group.
