Trade Promotion Council of India signs MoU with FederlegnoArredo, Italy | Salone del Mobile, Milano

Today at Salone del Mobile, Milano, the Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FederlegnoArredo (FLA), Italy, signifying a noteworthy advancement in mutual collaboration to nurture furniture and associated clusters in India. In a ceremony held at Salone del Mobile, Milano, TPCI underscores its commitment to attracting global investment interest in India's furniture sector with the signing of this MoU. The event saw the esteemed presence of Hon’ble CGI Milan, Ms. T. Ajungla Jamir, who emphasized the strategic partnership between India and Italy, highlighting the significance of this agreement in strengthening bilateral ties.

Chairman Mohit Singla represented TPCI, while FLA was represented by President Claudio Feltrin during the signing ceremony, which also witnessed the participation of Edi Snaidero, President of the European Furniture Industry Confederation and the Italian Kitchen Furniture Association

Additionally, discussions were held with Ms. Maria Porro, Presidente of Salone del Mobile and President of Assarredothe Italian Association of Furniture, to explore avenues for further collaboration, including a planned delegation visit to India later this year.

During his visit, Mr. Singla engaged with key members of EFIC and various entrepreneurs, as well as Presidents of European national furniture associations, discussing the potential organization of a significant furniture trade and investment show in India to support industry growth and development.

TPCI, as a member of the World Furniture Confederation, continues to engage with stakeholders from major producing countries, with several MoUs already established to realize its ambitious vision.

FLA, as a member of EFIC, serves as the national representative of the Italian Furniture industry. Additionally, it advocates for the maintenance of a robust EU Single Market, enhanced trade prospects, and the adoption of sustainable and circular business practices.
