The 44-storey building will serve as the new headquarters for Mutual of Omaha and will be the tallest in Nebraska and its neighboring states.
Flexible Design
The tower's interiors focus on enhancing productivity through a flexible work environment. A key feature of the design is the variety on each floor, incorporating phone booths, meeting rooms, and break areas to create a responsive, people-centric atmosphere that reflects the spirit of the employees' work. A double-height conference room on the 44th floor will provide visitors with sweeping views.
The company's current headquarters is in midtown Omaha, while the new tower will be situated west of the recently reopened Gene Leahy Mall at the RiverFront. A planned streetcar line in the city influenced the relocation.
Mutual of Omaha CEO James Blackledge explained that the modern transportation system provides convenient access to the new headquarters and opens creative possibilities for the project.
