Dynamic Exposed Rcc Facade With Fish Gill Inspired Openings For India’s Largest Inland Aquarium | INI Design Studio

The facade of India’s largest and first planned public inland aquarium draws inspiration from nature’s intricate forms, such as spiraling galaxies and the nautilus shell, a marine mollusk renowned for its beautifully segmented, spiraled shell.

The exposed RCC exterior surfaces create a dynamic visual experience, with shadow interplay on the façade and openings reminiscent of fish gills. Visitors enjoy an immersive sensory journey, enhanced by integrated lighting, AV technology, projections, interactive features, and environmental graphics. The design emphasizes structural stability and resilience against seismic activity and other natural calamities. Fly ash bricks and green concrete were selected for their low environmental impact, utilizing recycled materials and reducing carbon emissions.
