House of Katachi began with the belief that the objects we live with should feel personal, meaningful and quietly transformative. With an interest in contemporary product design, Sanyam Jain, the studio’s founder started creating forms that move away from mass ornamentation and toward intention. By combining modern 3D manufacturing with tactile materials such as wood, textiles and natural finishes, each piece becomes sculptural yet warm. This philosophy comes into sharp focus with The Sutra Collection featuring two sculptural floor lamps that prove light doesn’t just illuminate a room, it can shape one. The Reed Console
Things that appear fragile often hold the most. The Reed Console is a piece that holds its own against the lamps it lives alongside. The legs are 3D printed in an interwoven form that tapers and meets at the joints with quiet precision. A steel sheet sits above them, calm and unassuming. There is something settling about this form. The way it holds space without asking for attention.
About the studio
House of Katachi began with the belief that everyday objects should feel personal, meaningful and quietly transformative. The studio combines modern 3D manufacturing with tactile materials such as wood, textiles, and natural finishes, thus creating sculptural yet warm pieces. Built around the idea that a well-designed product is as much architecture as object, the studio collaborates with architects and designers on custom lighting tailored in scale, finish and light temperature, approached with restraint for cohesive, enduring results.
About the designer
Sanyam Jain is a creative entrepreneur with a strong focus on contemporary product and spatial design. His work is guided by a deep appreciation for materials, proportions, craftsmanship, and the emotional experience of objects within a space. With experience across lighting, furniture, and custom-designed environments, he brings together technical understanding and a refined visual sensibility to create thoughtful and enduring design solutions. Sanyam’s approach emphasizes originality, functionality, and attention to detail, often drawing inspiration from architecture, traditional forms, and everyday interactions with space. He continues to explore how well-crafted objects can shape atmosphere, evoke emotion, and create a meaningful connection between people and the spaces they inhabit.
