An epitome of Baroque architecture, the Klementium Library is a National Library of the Czech Republic opened in 1722 as part of the Jesuit university. Designed by architect Amanda Levete, the library houses more than 20,000 books. We can see the library was initially established as a boarding school for monks in the 13th century.
