The Direction of Pooja Room
As far of some beliefs Pooja Room should be placed in the direction of North-east or North or East in the home. Definitely one must keep in mind that it should not be just under the staircase, attached to the wall of washrooms and near the place where we leave our footwear. It is not any demanding rule to be kept on the North-east direction but only for some beliefs but make sure the surrounding place should be calm and not disturbing.

In some beliefs Pooja Room should be kept in the living area or beside the kitchen so that it can be available to everyone from children to age old people.
Entrance of the Pooja Room
Again, in some beliefs the door of the Pooja Room should be made with wood (a good quality one). As in a saying “First is the best” says the entrance itself should look holy to feel the presence of the divine inside. The door of the Pooja Room be in such a way that it resembles like a peaceful place to go in and pray.

Some good paintings also enhance the good thoughts and helps to maintain goodness within.
Interior Design of the Room
Lights inside the Pooja Room should be light when compared to any other rooms in the home as they play a vital role in designing a Pooja Room. Many of us don’t think of lights to keep inside but this is as important as the external design. As soon as one enters into the Pooja Room should feel like they are in a holy place where the divine meet and talk with them.
These lights can be kept onfor the whole day and night that the place gets focused and gives more strength than that of a dark room. Can surely helpsto maintain peace the inner self.

Each and every small aspect plays a major role in designing a Pooja Room for Indian homes. Not only in big buildings or houses but also in small homes too they create some space for doing Pooja regularly without any fail.
Although, in small houses they don’t include the beliefs as the space for them will be small and some peopledefinitely go back after beliefs even in small places- This is not the matter that should accept the beliefs or not but at least to majority of people make sure that they have a place for Pooja to be performed to the Divine.
