Bulbous, Metallic and Coral-Like Form

An ultra-thin structure, designed by the New York-based French architect Marc Fornes, also known as THEVERYMANY, has been unveiled in a historic Milanese palazzo. This bulbous creation of metal and coral-like forms invites visitors to take a look inside.

Fornes shares his favourite experience with "Pavilion Nomad," which emerged when he watched kids playing in it. At first, they didn't take note of the unique way it was built; however, their pace gradually decreased as they realized that it had no walls like any building they had ever seen before. Similarly, we were astonished by the structure and curious to see how it managed to stay standing.

This nomadic architecture will be celebrated at Milan Design Week, succeeding predecessors such as Charlotte Perriand’s La Maison au bord de l’eau (2015), Matti Suuronen’s Futuro House (2017), George Candilis’ Hexacube (2018), Shigeru Ban’s Paper Temporary Studio (2019), and Michel Hudrisier and M. Roma’s Nova House (2022). This stunning ultra-thin structure can be viewed from April 17 to 23, 2023.

Other Interesting Objects And A Range of Events in Milan Design Week 2023

In addition to the Nomadic Pavilion, Louis Vuitton showcases 11 new Objets Nomades from Atelier Oï, Raw Edges, Atelier Biagetti, Marcel Wanders, Zanellato/Bortotto, Studio Louis Vuitton and Campana. The Maison also launches the Cabinet of Curiosities by Marc Newson - an exquisite reinterpretation of the classic Louis Vuitton trunk from the esteemed Australian designer.

From April 17 to 23, 2023 Milan Design Week will host a series of events; including a live workshop with members of the Swiss design studio Atelier Oï, the launch of Louis Vuitton Skins, a publication dedicated to Louis Vuitton store designs and a public dialogue featuring renowned designers from Objets Nomades.
