Supporting India's Hydrogen Mission
The Gail Vijaipur plant contributes to India's Hydrogen Mission, which targets 5 million tons of green hydrogen production annually by 2030. India aims for energy independence by 2047 and Net Zero emissions by 2070. Green hydrogen is pivotal for the energy transition, with uses in renewable energy storage, industrial fuel replacement, clean transportation, power generation, aviation, and marine transport.
Future Opportunities
Nextchem will use the Vijaipur plant as a reference for further energy transition projects in India. Alessandro Bernini, CEO of Maire Group, highlighted that this achievement strengthens Maire's position in India's energy transition efforts. With over 3,000 employees in India, the Group is well-placed to offer sustainable solutions to the national industry.
