With a career spanning over thirty years, Dr. Concessao is celebrated as an award-winning nation builder. After returning from the USA, she dedicated her expertise to creating landmark government and private projects across India and internationally. Her work has garnered more than 192 international, national, and state awards, reflecting her profound impact on architecture and interior design. Her designs have been widely published in leading design magazines and newspapers.
Dr. Concessao completed her Bachelor of Architecture at the National Institute of Technology, Trichy (1987), where she was the first female undergraduate student. She furthered her studies with a Master of Architecture from Cornell University (1989) and pursued Advanced Professional Studies at Harvard University (1992). Her early career included working with the renowned architectural firm Edward Larrabee Barnes in New York City, where she contributed to several skyscrapers, university campuses, and stadiums before co-founding her firm in 1996.

In recognition of her exceptional contributions to architecture, Dr. Concessao was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Modern Architecture in 2008 from Malaysia and Universita di Milano for Modern Architecture and Architectural Science in 2014. Additionally, she received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, presented by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam during the institution's Golden Jubilee Celebrations.
