Principal Architect Abha Narain Lambah holds a Master’s degree in Architectural Conservation from the School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi, and brings over two decades of expertise to her field. Recognized for her significant contributions to architecture, she has been honored with prestigious awards including the Sanskriti Award, the Eisenhower Fellowship, the Attingham Trust Fellowship, and the Charles Wallace Fellowship. In 2016, she was also nominated among the Top 20 Women Architects Globally by Arc Vision.

Abha Narain Lambah serves as a consultant to prominent organizations such as ICCROM, UNITAR, the World Monuments Fund, the Global Heritage Fund, and the Archaeological Survey of India. She has actively contributed to heritage committees in both Delhi and Mumbai.

Her firm, Abha Narain Lambah Associates, is a leading architectural practice in India, specializing in Architectural Conservation, Building Restoration and Retrofit, Museum Design, Historic Interiors, Urban and Regional Conservation Management Plans, Conservation Assessment Studies, Urban Signage, and Street Furniture. Highlighted Projects:

  • Elphinstone College, Mumbai: This pioneering conservation project focused on the façade restoration and conservation of a Grade I Heritage Building—a historic Victorian Neo-Gothic structure in the Kala Ghoda Art District—through an innovative public-private partnership.
  • Jai Vilas Palace, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh: The project involved museum master planning, gallery design, signage design, building conservation, structural repairs, and visitor facilities design for one of India’s most spectacular Neo-Classical palaces. Built by the Scindia rulers in the 19th century, the palace features grand Baroque interiors and one of the world’s largest crystal chandeliers. The project was supported by the Ministry of Culture.
  • Raj Bhavan, Nainital, Uttarakhand: This comprehensive conservation project, funded by the Ministry of Urban Development, aimed at preserving one of the finest colonial estates and restoring its grand Victorian interiors. Designed by Frederick William Stevens, the Government House serves as the official summer residence of the Governor of Uttarakhand.
  • The Quarter at The Royal Opera House, Mumbai, Maharashtra: This project includes a cocktail bar, an all-day café, an al-fresco restaurant, and a live music club. The Quarter enhances the visual and cultural appeal of the Opera House site, creating a cohesive venue that enriches Mumbai’s cultural experience.
