Manish Banker graduated with distinction from the Institute of Environmental Design, Gujarat, in 1991. Following his graduation, he contributed significantly to The Osho Commune International in Pune over a two-year period, where he played a crucial role in various ongoing projects. During this time, he adopted a spiritual approach to spatial design, aimed at fostering a deeper connection between individuals and their environment.

In 1994, driven by a profound understanding of architecture's true meaning and purpose, Manish founded TAO Architecture Pvt. Ltd. As an Associate Member of both the Council of Architecture and the Indian Institute of Architects, he has earned widespread recognition for his contributions to sustainable design.
Manish is known for his dynamic creativity, passion for nature, and commitment to sharing his knowledge with emerging architects. He has actively participated as a speaker and juror in academic studios and was a keynote speaker at the ‘Design Yatra’ organized by the Institute of Indian Interior Designers in 2017.
TAOStudiO, established in 1994, embodies the firm’s philosophy of dissolving the boundary between indoor and outdoor spaces to create harmonious and free-spirited environments for users.
Notable Projects:
- Saj Villa: This weekend home merges the ethnic charm of traditional wadas with contemporary design elements. It highlights the richness of rustic materials while delivering a distinctive old-school elegance.
- Nyati Unitree Commercial Development: This project features two interconnected buildings: a commercial structure with 10,000 sq. mt. of modular showrooms and offices, and a double-glazed RCC building serving as the corporate headquarters for the Nyati group. The development includes three pedestrian plazas—entrance, shopping, and recreational—along with three levels of underground parking. The common areas encompass a café, restaurant, and recreational spaces totaling 2,560 sq. mt.
- Suzlon One Earth Excellence Academy: Located within the SEA building of the Suzlon One Earth Corporate Campus, this academy features an open courtyard centered around a 'swastika' shaped water body. The design emphasizes natural light and encourages spontaneous interactions among users in common areas, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration. The inviting steps of the courtyard create a serene space for gathering and reflection.

THE WADE ASIA, established in 2016 began with the objectives of creating a platform for recognising the contribution of women in design and to provide a large national platform for the entire community to celebrate women-led development.

THE WADE ASIA created a world record by contributing to water initiative and creating the largest W human-shape on ground in record time which was awarded ASIA BOOK OF RECORDS medal, a testament to its outstanding contribution to the industry.
