She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi, and a dual Master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from U.C. Berkeley, USA. As a LEED Accredited professional and a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Anupama has spent two decades in the United States, further enriching her expertise.
Anupama’s professional journey includes a significant tenure as Managing Director for Gensler India, where she played a pivotal role in enhancing the firm’s presence in the country. Her leadership was instrumental in delivering sophisticated design services, fostering employee engagement, and achieving notable business outcomes.
Her extensive experience encompasses roles such as Head of Design at TATA Realty and Infrastructure Ltd., Shapoorji Pallonji’s design & build vertical, and AECOM’s Water Division in New York City. In these positions, she managed large teams and complex projects, including large-scale mixed-use developments, high-performance buildings, and infrastructure projects across various sectors such as commercial office, IT, hospitality, and residential.
Anupama’s passion for sustainable design has driven her to provide thought leadership, particularly at AECOM, where she helped establish best practices and a standalone business vertical in the US (NE) region, contributing to the region’s profitability and growth.
