Plant Capacity and Construction Details
Situated on 7.86 acres at the Jhir dumping ground in Mouza Jhiri, the plant has a processing capacity of 12,500 cubic meters per day. It converts 150 tonnes of municipal solid waste into 5,000 kg of bio-CNG and 25 tons of fermented bio manure daily, supporting sustainable fuel alternatives for over 600 vehicles at nearby CNG stations.
Innovative Technology and Turn-Key Solutions
The plant uses advanced water scrubbing technology to ensure high-quality bio-CNG. CEID Consultants and Engineering oversee the complete process, from design and supply to installation and commissioning, providing comprehensive turn-key solutions for gas generation and purification.
Contribution to Local Economy and Employment
In March 2021, GAIL and the Ranchi Municipal Corporation signed a concession agreement to establish this pioneering facility. Prince Gandhi, CEO of CEID Consultants, highlighted the plant's significance as Jharkhand's first, promoting a circular economy by converting municipal waste and cow dung into clean energy.
SR believes that the facility will create local jobs, boost rural economies, enhance energy security, and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
