Rat-Trap Bricks, Glass Elegance, and Harmonious Design | Blurring Boundaries

In Alibag, surrounded by lush mango trees, Prashant Dupare and Shriya Parasrampuria from Blurring Boundaries have designed an amazing nature-inspired home. The architects have used rat-trap brick bonds which not only curtails the use of excessive materials but also enhances insulation. Textured walls, corbelling, and unique openings bring out the expressive potential of bricks, while a recycled glass bottle wall introduces a playful daylight. The inbuilt ferrocement furniture embodies a harmonious blend of functionality and design, creating a contrast with the blue ceiling and fostering balance.
