The first Signature collection of Misha design wall coverings is a collaborative effort with designer Cristina Celestino. Esotismi by Cristina Celestinoa textile wall decoration – is primarily rooted in reflections regarding the brand identity, its philosophy and values, as well as the unique potential it offers in terms of craft production keeping in mind its contemporary design.

Comprising Formosa, Passiflora, Cabana and Oasi, the collection explores the full spectrum of Misha’s savoir faire. The collection encompasses hand-painting which is used for solid backgrounds by applying as many as four layers of colour onto a white canvas, the flower and fruit motifs and geometric motifs of stripes and patterns. In the form of solid and half embroidery and outline stitching, silk embroidery is employed including the manual application of metallic leaves in their craquele version.

Formosa range

Drawing inspiration from the world of photography, the Formosa design explores a colourful limbo that provides a backdrop to a hypothetical stage set imbued with a surreal dreamlike atmosphere. The solid colour scheme simulates the effect of marmorino stucco walls while the monochromatic ferns and plants outline the limbo and surround the enormous, bright, 3D mushrooms positioned in the foreground. Available in 5 cm X 90 cm wide panels, Ardoise and Saffron are the two colour variants that refer to the dominant shades of the two different backgrounds.

Passiflora range

Highlighting the exotic plant passiflora, this range of wallpaper features a diagonal pattern of monochromatic geometric stripes and micro patterns inspired by textured weaves. An amalgamation of striped background blending with transparent and opaque effects interacts throughout the background. Available in 6 cm X 90 cm wide panels and two colour variants of Citrina and Caerulea which refers to the different colours of the flower, the Passiflora design is characterized by hand-embroidered details that accentuate the three-dimensionality to the flower.

Cabana range

Resonating with the natural and luxuriant wilderness, the Cabana design sets out to be a praise of vagabonds where the wild plants are constantly on the move. The fan-shaped colourful flora positioned between the geometric stripes of an accurately drawn background creates an ongoing dialogue between order and disorder. The design consists of 6 cm X 90 cm wide panels in colour variants of Golden Sky and Golden Beach.

Oasi range

The background of the Oasi design comprises an abstract landscape that creates an optical illusion of fruits, giant raspberries and tropical leaves that stands out against soft dunes and contrasting geometric stripes. The Mint+ Bluette and Peach+ Sunset colour variants in 9 cm X 90 cm wide panels are woven together in precious embroidery that adorns the fruit and accentuates the contours of tropical leaves with outline embroidery work.
