Surfaces Reporter and Ply Reporter awarded Best Enterprise India in Publishing 2021 - Top magazines in architecture, interior design and building materials

What a great way to end 2021 and welcome 2022 for the business and design magazines! Surfaces Reporter & Ply Reporter have been awarded: BEST ENTERPRISE OF THE YEAR (PUBLISHING) 2021 by MSME Business Awards in association with National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), and MSME Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The magazines from the house of Bigsea Marcom India Private Limited have continuously evolved with the times.

The uncertain times led by the pandemic were a ground for massive transformation. While maneuvering through the changes and adopting new ways of working, the team embraced technology in a never before way.

There was a huge question mark on what will happen to print magazines as people have become very sensitive to touch and hygiene. Three magazines from the media house, all leading in their segments with print-rich content, the question of what to do next to survive, hit the minds of the directors, Vertica Dvivedi and Pragath Dvivedi as the entire team was looking towards them for solutions. Just like the entire world, they were clueless. However, soon they realized, to de-risk from the current crisis, bigger risks will have to be taken.

Even without waiting to see how the lockdown unfolds, they decided to invest in technology in early April 2020. At the same time, digital content creation took centre stage for the team. While companies were reserving cash, they invested in broadcast and studio setup which had no hope then for return.

In less than 15 months, the teams together have executed more than 50 nationwide product launches, webinars, and 1500+ talk sessions, social posts and digital articles. The results were incredible and made the magazines Surfaces Reporter and Ply Reporter pioneers in digital news broadcast and tech adoption in building material, home and interior design industry.

Technology is powerless without execution and know-how and here is where the excellent team leaders of Bigsea Marcom played a crucial role in furthering the mission of making the print dominant content platforms to divert into multiple media.

While the world is still reeling under the pandemic, Bigsea Marcom is preparing for a hybrid future. The group is looking forward to organize the coveted Matecia building material & interior products exhibition along with their flagship conferences, WADE ASIA and India Interior Retailing (IIR) in May 2022 at New Delhi.
