Porsche's deputy chairman, Lutz Meschke, stated that the Porsche Design Tower Bangkok embodies their approach to offering exclusive experiences to their most discerning customers. Meschke emphasized that this development marks a significant expansion for Porsche in Southeast Asia, reflecting the region's growing importance to the brand
This is part of a trend of car companies developing residential buildings, following Aston Martin's recent skyscraper in Miami.
Porsche-Inspired Design
The 21-storey Porsche Design Tower Bangkok will feature 22 luxury duplex and quadplex apartments atop an exposed pedestal. The building, crowned with Porsche-inspired lighting, includes a central spiral ramp leading to communal garages. These "passion spaces" are designed for car storage and socializing.
A central spiral ramp will be featured in the building, and terrace doors in the apartments will fold and hinge like the Porsche 911 Targa roof. Porsche describes the facade's fully automated doors as offering a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor living. The building's base, dubbed the "X-Frame," is modeled after the Mission R concept car's exoskeleton.
The luxury apartments will include exclusive materials, high-end furniture, and technically designed kitchens with hands-free electrically powered drawers, cabinet doors, and durable wooden façades.
Porsche Design Tower Bangkok will feature a 25-meter pool, fitness center, spa, and social and business lounges. Construction begins in early 2025, with completion expected by late 2028.
