Lime, Terrazzo and Concrete Shape the Miteshbhai Residence | VH Design, Ahmedabad

Rooted in function yet steeped in emotion, the Miteshbhai Residence - Artist Prelude captures the personalities of its inhabitants through a tactile symphony of lime-plastered walls, terrazzo flooring, raw concrete, fluted wood and subtle brass accents. While lime plaster exudes solidity that gracefully ages with a patina, terrazzo anchors rooms with a playful expression such as the lotus inlays in the drawing room.

Exposed RCC walls and ceilings articulate structural honesty alongside the warm wooden inserts, engraved motifs, and Persian-tiled frames.

Wooden elements such as shutters, staircases and beds carry a touch of tradition, while fluted glass cabinets and back-painted glass in the kitchen add contemporary clarity. Artistic flooring compositions, brass outlines, jute dhurries and woven cotton chairs add a decorative charm to the house, while the perforated screens and brass planters soften boundaries.
