Born on May 26, Ar. Bankim Dave completed his early education at St. Xavier’s High School before earning a degree in Architecture. He is a well-established architect and interior designer in Surat, with over 29 years of professional experience. In addition to his architectural qualifications, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science and a Diploma in Civil Engineering. As a partner at M/s. Ramanlal Dave & Sons, Surat’s first architectural firm, he continues the legacy of his father, Tarun Dave, also an architect.
Bankim Dave has been honored with Rotary International’s prestigious “Four Avenues of Service Award” and has frequently served as the Master of Ceremony for major Rotary events, including the inaugurations of The I.I.A. Surat Center and The I.I.A. Gujarat Chapter. His contributions to Rotary also include roles as District Quiz Master, presentation leader, and discussion leader at various Rotary District Assemblies. Beyond his professional life, he actively participates in social and cultural organizations such as Officers Gymkhana, The Surat Tennis Club, Surat District Cricket Association, and Saptarshi.
He is registered with the Council of Architecture, New Delhi, and is a member of several distinguished organizations, including The Incorporated Association of Architects in Northampton, U.K., The Indian Institute of Architects, The Institute of Indian Interior Designers, and the Institute of Civil Engineers & Architects, Surat.
Bankim has served as the National President of the Institute of Indian Interior Designers (I.I.I.D.) from 2010-2012 and as Chairman of the Asia Pacific Space Designers Alliance (APSDA) from 2010-2014. Currently, he is the Secretary General of the World Council of Leaders of Interior Design.
Representing India at three International Federation of Interior Architects (IFI) Conventions, he has also served as an international juror at the 2011 International Design Award in Herford, Germany. His expertise has been sought after at global events, including the 6th China (Shenzhen) International Interior Design Cultural Festival and MAISON&OBJET in Paris, where he addressed leaders in the field of interior design.
