MuseLABs Warm and Immersive Ahmedabad Home | The Nest

MuseLABs Warm and Immersive Ahmedabad Home | The Nest

The Nest in Ahmedabad, designed by MuseLAB, spans 6,500 sq ft across three storeys, providing a warm, immersive experience. The whimsical entrance features personalized art, vibrant Kota flooring, and Roly Poly chairs. Unique textures and serene elements continue through the staircase and Galleria, including a standout art piece and a pool inspired by Rianna’s Koi Pond. Principal Architects at MuseLAB discuss the creation of this home with SURFACES REPORTER (SR). Take a look:

Designing a space goes beyond arranging furniture and selecting colors; it's about crafting an experience that resonates with its inhabitants. The Nest in Ahmedabad embodies this ethos. Spanning 6,500 sq ft over three storeys, it serves as a sanctuary of warmth and joy, reflecting the unique spirit of Ekta, Dhruv, Rianna, and Zoya.

Whimsical Entrance and Artistic Details

Upon entering The Nest, one is immediately enveloped in an atmosphere of whimsy and delight. The entrance foyer features personalized art by Ujjval Noya, setting the tone for the home's eclectic aesthetic.

Kota flooring with lively patterns leads to Roly Poly chairs by Driade, inviting guests to relax. A bespoke totem by Harshita Jhamtani and a bone-inlay chest of drawers add to the charm, while the contemporary entrance door with a dark walnut finish welcomes visitors into this imaginative space.

Staircase Design and Textural Harmony

As you ascend the staircase, a blend of textures and shapes creates a visual symphony. The meticulously crafted wooden handrail provides a comforting anchor, while fabricated balustrades with concealed lighting softly illuminate each step.

The playful Tetris-like Kota skirting adds a whimsical touch, inviting curious glances.

The Galleria and Poolside Serenity

The Galleria, painted in soothing Pacific blue, offers a peaceful retreat with a standout lenticular art piece by Prityanshi depicting serene landscapes. A colorful Cocoon Rugs runner adds texture, reflecting the family's love for patterns.

Beyond the Galleria, elegant French doors lead to a sparkling pool and deck. Inspired by Rianna's Koi Pond art, the pool floor celebrates family and love, with sunlight creating a serene atmosphere.

Cozy and Chic Living Spaces

The living room, dining area, and dry kitchen blend seamlessly, offering a cozy yet chic atmosphere. The space features a form-finished concrete ceiling and polished Kota flooring, all curated for understated elegance.

A grand dining table by The Klein Bottle, with intricate inlay details, stands ready for family feasts, embodying the craftsmanship found throughout The Nest.

First Floor Retreats

As night falls, the first floor offers a haven of relaxation. The master bedroom, with its faceted geometry and pine wood-clad ceiling, provides a serene escape. Soft linens and plush furnishings invite restful sleep, accompanied by the city's gentle hum.

The daughters' bedroom reflects their growth with watercolor wallpaper, setting the stage for adventures and late-night chats. In the lounge, leather-finished kadappa flooring and minty green accents evoke nostalgia, filled with memories of laughter and love.
