Born in New Delhi, Archie Tyagi is an aspiring young designer who finished her bachelor’s in architecture from India and decided to pursue her master's degree in Interior Design in the U.S.A. Over the past 3+ years, she has had many opportunities to collaborate with some of the top brands such as L’Oréal Paris, Coca Cola and SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design). Her idea of evolving herself as a designer was through working for different realms of design field such as set design, interior design, retail design, and user experiential design. “Architecture and Interior Design are fundamentals to my multidisciplinary design journey," says Archie Tyagi to SURFACES REPORTER (SR). Her biggest break came through a SCADpro collaborative design project with USA-based Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), to create an immersive experiential museum called SCADstory back in 2018. A core part of a team of experts, she worked majorly on researching and creating conceptual design solutions that generated a sensorial stimulation.

This 4D experience, narrates the journey of SCAD history, across four decades of beauty, design, and invention; making it one of the top-visited destinations in Savannah, Georgia, U.S.A.

Continuing her passion for spatial design, she received many opportunities to work on movie, music, and film sets. One such was for a short film Let Loose, winner of Coca-Cola Refreshing Film 2020 and Southeast NATAS Production Award (Southeast Emmy Awards). As the Set Decorator, Archie contributed massively towards the construction, prop making, and overall aesthetic appearance of the overall set.

After her graduation, Archie joined the world's largest cosmetics company L'Oréal Paris as a Travel Retail Designer in 2021, spearheading responsibilities for brands including L’Oréal Paris, Kérastase, La Roche Posay and Vichy by supporting- project management, designing, and coordination of projects execution that spread through regions of North America, South America and the Caribbeans.

Today, she is working as an Interior Designer for an award-winning architecture and Interior Design firm called MSR Design in Minneapolis,U.S.A, to create and develop innovative design solutions that benefit humans and preserve environmental values.

Her main purpose in this quest for excellence is to learn from the broad spectrum of the design world ranging from architecture, interior design, production design, graphic design, and industrial design to user experience design. The exposure she has gained on various design platforms has made it one of her biggest assets! Multidirectional thinking and understanding of human interaction from different perspectives have created an evolution in her design thinking and problem-solving strategies.
