Orvi Surfaces Unveils Filo Collection at Salone del Mobile | Orvi X Matteo Cibic

Orvi Surfaces

Orvi Surfaces, one of India’s leading producers of handmade surfaces and home decor pieces, in collaboration with Italian designer Matteo Cibic has launched the Filo collection. The collection has been unveiled at the ongoing Salone del Mobile in Milan, where the Indian surfaces brand showcased the contemporary collection of handcrafted home pieces and surfaces that are inspired by raw threads. Know about the collection on SURFACES REPORTER (SR).

A collection born from a unique partnership between eminent international designer Matteo Cibic and Orvi, Filo explores perpetuity. The collection has been named after threads that organically show up on natural fabric and flow on, almost convivial onto the surface, making them look immersive and fun. Comprising serveware, platters and bowls, a planter, wall artworks, photo frames, consoles, dining tables and a lamp, the collection is crafted in superior quality Bianca Carrara white marble, stone and brass. A classic colour palette and contemporary patterns adorn the luxurious design patterns that can easily fit into modern homes and offices.

Handmade by artisans, who have mastered the dying art of bas-relief, metal inlay and stone sculpting, the collection is a celebration of craftsmanship and modern aesthetics. Cibic has mixed geometric and decorative patterns in this contemporary collection and has used the many shades of cream, green, red and black along with gleamy brass.
