Century-Old Ancestral Antiques Elevate the Style Quotient of this Pune Residence

A young couple wanted to escape the ultra-modern style of Mumbai and create a home filled with character and pieces from their family's past. Interiors by Mili carefully selected elements from the client's ancestral home, blending them with vibrant colors and patterns to craft a stylish modern-Indian haven-BODHI – The Row House in Pune. The designer has shared detailed info of the project with SURFACES REPORTER (SR). Take a look:

Located in the charming Baner area of Pune and covering 1600 square feet, this stunning holiday home features revamped interiors with minimal structural changes.

A Tour Through the Thoughtfully Designed Spaces

The journey through this unique home starts in the living area, connected to the semi-open kitchen by an elegant glass partition. Beyond the kitchen, there's a welcoming staff area and a charming backyard.

The well-thought-out design includes a guest bedroom on the right side of the kitchen and, going upstairs, unveils a spacious master bedroom and another guest bedroom, with a delightful terrace completing the experience.

Principal Architect Mili Savekar, the creative force behind Interiors by Mili, shares, “I avoid blindly following design trends. My strength lies in skillfully blending enduring styles, ensuring our clients love their space even after a decade.” She expresses a deep connection to the master bedroom with its captivating antique doors and the living room's feature wall adorned with antique columns.

A Fusion of Heritage and Modernity

The project is a showcase of contemporary living while preserving heritage and tradition, seamlessly fitting into Baner and its rich Bhakti tradition.

The infusion of century-old ancestral antique elements adds a touch of opulence to this stylish modern Indian home, where vibrant colors, dark wood, veneer finishes, and natural stone flooring define its character.

Lively Colour Palette

The color palette is a lively symphony, with Jaisalmer stone flooring in bright yellow, living room accents in green and red, soothing peach and pink tones in the guest bedroom, and a master bedroom dominated by deep, luxurious blues. The result is a beautiful blend of tradition and modernity.
