Global tech giant Apple has recently opened a massive office in Bengaluru. Check out the specification and know about others who are opening their offices in India in this report by SURFACES REPORTER.
Designed to accommodate 1200 people across 15 floors
The new office by Apple is situated at the Minsk Square, a prominent location in the city. Earlier, Apple signed the lease agreement with Prestige Estates for the Prestige Minsk Square building. It is a 1.16 lakh sq ft of commercial space leased for ten years on Cubbon Road in the heart of Bengaluru for a rent of Rs 2.43 crore per month.
The latest office by Apple is another addition in its already existing offices located in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Gurugram with nearly 3,000 employees working.
Adhering to Sustainable practice
The new Apple office has been designed adhering to the sustainable building practices and relies on 100% renewable energy. The tech giant also aims to secure a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum rating.
The facility includes dedicated lab spaces, collaborative areas, wellness zones, parking for 740 cars and a Caffe Macs.
Apple has maintained carbon neutrality for its corporate operations since 2020 and has operated all its facilities using 100% renewable energy since 2018.
More Tech Giants opening their space in India
India is becoming a hot spot for tech giants to open their premises in multiple locations in India due to favourable government policies. For instance, Google Inc has secured office space within the Nucleus Office Parks commercial tower, Fintech One situated in the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT).
This will be its sixth location in India besides Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Gurugram and Pune with Hyderabad being its country headquarter. It is also in the process of constructing its largest campus outside of the USA which will be in Hyderabad.
Similarly, Amazon India has recently launched its first interconnected offices in Bangalore. The Amazon Development Centre in Bagmane Capital Tech, Rome South stands as a twin to Rome North building. The two buildings are connected by a skybridge on the second floor, allowing employees to move quickly between them.
